On July 28th, exciting news arrived! Dr. Qi Fanyu, expected to enroll in the Advanced Manufacturing Intelligence Laboratory in September, demonstrated excellence at Peking University’s Data Science Summer Camp and received the “Outstanding Camper” title. It is reported that the selection rate for Outstanding Campers in this summer camp was only 5%, fully demonstrating the laboratory’s excellent insight and academic strength in talent selection and cultivation.

From 16 to 19 August 2026, the national finals of the 19th China Collegiate Computer Design Contest (4C2026) were held at Jiangnan University in Wuxi, Jiangsu. Associate Professor Feng Jianshe led the team. Xie Ying and Li Yiyi represented the Sun Yat-sen University Advanced Manufacturing Intelligence Laboratory (AI Cube Lab) and won a national Second Prize in the Artificial Intelligence Application (Newland Cup) track.
