On March 28th, exciting news arrived! Zhu Yizhang, a master’s student from the Advanced Manufacturing Intelligence Laboratory, won the championship in the Xiaomi AI Competition during his internship at Xiaomi, standing out in fierce competition with over 1,500 Xiaomi employees and receiving a 20,000 RMB prize. This outstanding achievement fully demonstrates the laboratory’s training capabilities and the students’ comprehensive qualities.

The Xiaomi AI Competition is a high-level technical competition held internally by Xiaomi Group, aiming to stimulate employees’ innovation potential and promote the application of artificial intelligence technology in various business scenarios. This year’s competition attracted over 1,500 Xiaomi employees, covering various technical positions including algorithm engineers, product managers, and R&D engineers, with exceptionally fierce competition.

It is rare for Zhu Yizhang, as an intern, to win the championship in such a high-level competition. This not only reflects his solid technical foundation and outstanding innovation capabilities but also fully demonstrates the excellent effectiveness of the Advanced Manufacturing Intelligence Laboratory in talent cultivation. Through systematic theoretical teaching and practical training, the laboratory has laid a solid technical foundation for students.

This award achievement is an important manifestation of the deep cooperation between the laboratory and Xiaomi. Through cooperation projects such as the “Youth Scholar Research Special Project,” laboratory students have gained valuable opportunities to intern and practice at well-known enterprises, enabling them to access real enterprise projects and cutting-edge technical challenges.

Zhu Yizhang’s successful experience sets an example for other laboratory students. This shows that through the laboratory’s systematic training and enterprise internship exercises, students are fully capable of achieving excellent results in fierce industry competition, demonstrating strong technical capabilities and innovation abilities.

The 20,000 RMB prize not only recognizes Zhu Yizhang’s technical capabilities but also provides strong proof of the Advanced Manufacturing Intelligence Laboratory’s training model. The laboratory focuses on combining theory with practice and provides students with real project experience through industry-academia-research cooperation. The effectiveness of this training model has been fully validated.

This achievement further enhances the laboratory’s reputation and influence in the industry, creating favorable conditions for more students to secure quality internships and employment opportunities. At the same time, it also lays a more solid foundation for deep cooperation between the laboratory and well-known enterprises such as Xiaomi.
